How can we help?

An area is a part of your life that never finishes, like Work, Home or Health. A project is something with an end, like "Move flat": it has steps, and it's complete when they're all done. Projects can sit inside an area.

Write it as you'd say it. "Call the bank tomorrow at 3pm #finance" gives the to-do tomorrow as its day, a reminder at 3pm and the tag finance. tusk also understands words like "tonight", "next friday", "in 2 weeks" and "every monday". It's all read on your device.

When is the day you plan to do it, and puts the to-do in Today on that day. Deadline is the day it's due. A to-do can have both, for example "start on Monday, due on Friday".

Open a to-do and choose Repeat. It can repeat on a schedule (every Monday) or a while after you finish it (two weeks after done). When you tick it, the next one appears with its dates moved on. Untick it straight away and the next one goes again.

Touch and hold an empty part of your Home Screen until the apps jiggle, tap Edit, then Add Widget. Search for tusk, choose a size and tap Add Widget. Tap the circle beside a to-do to tick it without opening tusk.

Check that notifications are allowed in Settings › Notifications › tusk, and that a Focus isn't silencing them.

Open the to-do and start its Live Activity. It stays on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, with a timer, until you tick it or end it.

tusk is free for one area and two projects, on one device. The unlock is a one-time purchase that adds unlimited areas and projects, iCloud sync between your devices and the other app icons. There's no subscription.

Sync is part of the unlock. On each device, sign in with the same Apple Account with iCloud turned on, then turn on iCloud Sync in tusk's settings. It takes effect the next time you open tusk. Your to-dos sync through your private iCloud, and we never see them.

No. It's one purchase for every device with the same Apple Account. On a new device, tap Restore Purchase in tusk's settings if it isn't unlocked yet.

Yes. If you use Family Sharing with purchase sharing turned on, everyone in your family group gets the unlock, on all of their devices too. They may need to tap Restore Purchase once.

Apple handles all payments, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Nothing is hidden or deleted. You keep everything you have; you just can't add more than the free limits until it's unlocked again.

till counts down to your events. When an event needs some getting ready for, open its More menu (⋯) in till and choose Move to tusk or Plan in tusk: its checklist becomes a tusk project. From a project in tusk, choose Count Down in till in the More menu to give it a countdown.

The Before Your Events widget shows what's left to do before your countdowns. Each app works fine without the other.

tusk runs on Macs with macOS 26 or later. Get it from the Mac App Store with the same Apple Account you use on your iPhone. Your unlock carries over, and with iCloud Sync on, so do your to-dos.

⌘N adds a to-do, ⇧⌘N adds a heading in a project, and ⌘1, ⌘2… jump to Inbox, Today and the other lists. Right-click a to-do for everything else.

Deleting the app removes everything stored on that device. If you used iCloud Sync, remove tusk's iCloud data in Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Account Storage.
